Q. Dear Tamara, my friend went into panic mode trying to find an outfit for a first date. I was wondering your idea on the perfect first date ‘dinner’ outfit that is flattering yet comfortable?

A. When going on a first date accentuate with your best assets. If you have great legs wear a skirt, dress or shorts. If you have great arms and shoulders go for a sleeveless top or dress. But make sure you don’t show too much skin. Go for a classic style rather than an on trend look. For comfort, try a pair of black cigarette pants or dark denim skinny jeans with a blazer jacket and nude heels; It is figure flattering and effortlessly stylish. You don’t want to appear like you have tried too hard to impress.

Q. Dear Tamara, I am really big busted. I need help with ways to cover ’them’ up whilst still looking fashionable. Do you have any suggestions on the most flattering styles?

A. The goal is to draw attention away from your chest. The biggest tip is to keep it simple. Look for styles that aren’t overly detailed that have a stretch in the fabric for a perfect fit. A great way to draw the attention away from your chest is with a statement necklace that sits above your bust, the necklace will become the focal point. Soft tailoring is also a great way to conceal your chest. Choose a simple cut with either a small lapel or collarless style it will sit flat across your bust. When worn open it elongates your body. When you have a full bust it is best to avoid a high neckline, opt for a soft V or U style instead. If you do find an item you love with a higher neckline try layering a tailored coat or biker jacket over the top it will create a flattering line.
